All workshops offered by HEG are open to all members.  If you are unable to attend a meeting to sign up for a
particular workshop, you may email me at: ctrostmann@ aol.com. and tell me you wish to register for a workshop.  I
will then send you my address to mail a check, or you may check in your directory for my address.

Crazy Quilt Long Term class meets on the fourth Thursday of each month, January through September
2011.  The class will meet at Tracy Gee Community Center from 9:30 to about 2pm.

Workshops

We are proud to announce a super workshop with Lois Kerschner to be held July 13 and 14, 2011!
"Souvenirs:  Thread Sketching Travel Journal" is a delightful class that will enable you to keep stitched
memories of your travels (whether abroad or within the city or even your own yard).  Lois will guide you
through the design process, painlessly, and you will be very surprised at what you will accomplish.  If
you so desire, the final product can be a small coffee table book that will give you pleasure and
memories each time you look at it.

Lois will provide sketches of scenes around Texas to start the juices flowing.  However, if you have
collecting windows and doors or ironwork like I have, you may also go in that direction.

Thread kits will be provided if you desire.  Cost without thread kit, $60 and with thread $80.  The class is
a real bargain as HEG is funding a portion of the cost.

Send me your check for either amount and I will get you on the list!

The Jan Timmers Workshop offered by Gulf Coast Golden Needles Satellite group is closed.

Wildflower sampler Long Term class meets on the third Thursday of each month, January through June
2011.  The class will meet at Tracy Gee Community Center from 9:30 to about 2 pm.  Please bring your
lunch.

Due to the fact that the third Thursday in February falls during Boot Camp, we are cancelling that
meeting and adding the third Thursday in July to complete the six sessions.

Our first session was this week, January 20, and everyone was very excited about the project and made
good headway.  Looking forward to March and Lesson #2.
