When we examined closely the details of some of the expenses we would be responsible for, it seemed to be much more than we anticipated. Much of this was derived from the extra expenses involved in bringing MESDA to the program. There was no guarantee that MESDA would bring us in any more participants than we have had at other lecture events. MESDA had no financial responsibility for the event and the guild could conceivably be left with a great deal of expenses to pay. A motion was made, seconded, and passed unanimously that the participation with MESDA be cancelled. The Board of HEG has agreed to pay expenses for the Exhibit up to $5000. Judging is budgeted for 1 and ½ days for two judges at $1050. Other ideas as to lecturers and a possible workshop were discussed. Dates for Exhibit meetings were discussed.
